Many Thanks!
Thanks go out to Membership Chairman Janice Zimmerman and everyone who helped create such a successful Membership Brunch & Sunday School Registration experience on Sunday. The food was fabulous (as usual), the company and conversation were wonderful (as usual), the kids were thrilled and registration was easy.
Come Meet Our New Visiting Rabbi
Make plans to be at the synagogue on Tuesday evening, Sept. 7, at 7:30 p.m. You’ll have an opportunity to meet and welcome our new visiting rabbi, Aderet Drucker, and her husband Brett, on their first visit to Shomrei Torah. We’ll have some light refreshments, and then you can use your furniture moving or supervisory skills and help set out the chairs and prayer books for the next day’s Erev Rosh Hashanah service.
Register Soon For Adult Education Classes That Begin in October
Irwin Kantrowitz will be teaching a series of five classes about the Friday night service and the development of Jewish prayer. His classes will be on Tuesday evenings at 7:30, beginning October 5. The cost is only $40 for Shomrei Torah members and $60 for nonmembers.
Visiting Rabbi Aderet Drucker will be having an adult education class on Sunday mornings when she visits. The class is free, but please register so coordinator David Edelson will know how many people to expect.
